The annual Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge turns the normal ESSI Money game that is played all year round into a national competition for two weeks.
Students compete in the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge for their chance to win a $1000 cash deposit into a personal Suncorp Bank Kids Savings Account and a bonus cash deposit of $4000 for their school!
The Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge goes "live" at 9.00am (Brisbane AEST) on Monday, 21 August 2017. Students can commence play at any time after this, but must complete the game and submit their score by 5.00pm (Brisbane AEST) on Friday, 1 September 2017.

TWO EXTRA WAYS TO WIN CASH FOR YOUR SCHOOL
New Teacher Members
Any new Teacher Member, registered with the Financial Basics Foundation after 1 September 2016, could win $1000 for their school. Simply register a class - 5 or more students must complete the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge 2017. The class with the highest average score wins. We have 3 x $1000 prizes to give away to the top three ranking classes. See our Terms and Conditions for more details.
Any Teacher Member from a school that was not on our list prior to 1 September 2016 is also in with a chance to win $500 for their school. Simply register a class for the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge 2017 and as long as 5 or more students complete the Challenge - your school will go in the draw to win $500. We have 3 x $500 prizes to give away to three new schools simply for participating in the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge 2017. The winning schools will be randomly selected from our database. See our Terms and Conditions for more details.
IMPORTANT PLAYER RULE
There are no restrictions on the number of classes or participating students from each school. However, each student may make a maximum of 5 attempts (combined across all classes) at the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge game (an “attempt” is counted when a participant has logged-in and progressed to “week 2” or further).
PLEASE NOTE: The game will NOT automatically stop students from making more than 5 attempts. It is up to the teacher to enforce this rule. Any participant making more than 5 attempts (combined across all classes) at the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge game will be disqualified from the Challenge.
For more information, visit the Terms and Conditions.
Students will compete in one of two age brackets: 12-15 or 16-18. The winner of each age category is the player with the highest final score. The final score combines the net value at the end of the ESSI Money Game with the score from the mandatory end-of-game financial literacy quiz. Individual winners from previous ESSI Money Challenges are not eligible to win in 2017.
Check the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge News and Leader Board page throughout the competition to compare scores with students from around Australia. The top 10 results in each age category will be displayed on the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge Leader Board.
