After successfully presenting webinars in the Education Qld Collaborate environment in 2018, this month we ran a number of webinars using the Zoom platform.
These free Zoom webinars help us overcome the tyranny of distance that is all too often an obstacle for Australian teachers when it comes to accessing high quality, free, professional development. Two webinars have now been run in recent weeks, each tailored to the needs of the attendees and focused on different areas of FBF resources.
On February 21st we ran a webinar for mathematics teachers at Presbyterian Ladies College, Sydney (PLC), who requested a session focused on ESSI Money Powered by Suncorp and how to integrate it into their teaching and learning plans. PLC teachers came out of the session looking forward to using the game with their students, and excited to have their school take part in the ESSI Money Challenge in Term 3, 2019.
On February 26th we ran a webinar for Master of Education students studying at Griffith University (Gold Coast). This session was focused on how to access and use the full suite of Financial Basics Foundation resources (OFL, FLIP & ESSI Money) in Business & Economics lessons.
Thank you to Vivienne & MJ for making these sessions possible!
It is great to connect with people in this way and we are looking forward to using this free and easy technology more in the future. If you are an educator and would like some more information about Finacial Basics Foundation running some professional development in your school, either face-to-face or via webinar, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
