Financial Basics Foundation’s (FBF) vision is financial wellbeing for young Australians.
Our mission is to enhance the financial capability of young Australians by providing quality independent financial education resources.
This is made possible with the support and generosity of our corporate partners. We would like to thank and acknowledge the following companies.
Presenting Partner of ESSI Money and the ESSI Money Challenge.
Support Partner of the Financial Basics Foundation.
Throughout the year, BDO Australia supports our work by providing bookkeeping and treasury requirements pro-bono - which means a significant saving to our administrative costs.
Thanks also to KPMG who complete the audit and prepare our annual financial statements for free each year.
Although Financial Basics Foundation is an independent charity, we rely on our sponsors to support our initiatives. This in turn enables us to deliver resources like ESSI Money, Operation Financial Literacy and Ca$hEd Up, free of charge ,to secondary schools across Australia.
The outcomes we have achieved this year, include:
Membership growth of 16%.
Over 4,700 teachers registered as FBF members.
1,549 schools registered, representing 57% of all Australian secondary schools accessing our resources.
Over 5,650 students taking part in the Suncorp ESSI Money Challenge.
Over 17,700 individual students played ESSI Money powered by Suncorp.
Launched phase two of Ca$hEd Up trial in Queensland.
89% of students who participated in Ca$hEd Up felt more informed and confident about making their own financial decisions after completing the course.
97% of students who participated in Ca$hEd Up wanted to learn more about other financial topics.
We are looking forward to 2020 and bringing financial literacy into even more Australian classrooms.
Thank you to our partners for your support and services throughout 2019.
